The Raman Research Institute, funded by the Government of India, is a premier institute engaged in research in basic sciences.

Job Description:

The experiments involve detection of weak signals submerged in noise.
These have to be detected, processed, analyzed and archived.
The job involves designing and implementing suitable techniques on high speed field-programmable modules, interfacing with hardware, and optimization of system parameters.

Essential Qualification:

BE/B Tech in Electronics or Electronics & Communications with at least 70% marks or 7.5 CGPA in the qualifying examination.

Desirable Qualifications:

The candidate should be motivated and should have a flair for experimental work. The candidate should have demonstrated experience in programming in VHDL/Verilog/OpenCL. In addition, the candidate should have experience in one or more of the following:

- High-speed Digital Circuit design.
- Design and development of PCBs for high-speed applications.
- Implementation of digital signal processing algorithms in Software/Hardware.
- High-speed data acquisition like Gigabit Ethernet.
- C/C++, Matlab/Python programming.
- Programming and use of dedicated single-board computers for experiments.
- Usage of modern Test and Measuring Instruments like: Digital Storage Oscilloscope, Spectrum Analyzer, Signal and Arbitrary Waveform Generators, etc.


A consolidated remuneration of Rs.23500/-per month + HRA (24% of consolidated remuneration) will be paid to the selected candidates during the first year. An increment of Rs.1000/- will be provided in the second year.
