Three departments, CSE, EE & ME were initiated. The first year had its highs and lows but was an exciting period that will be etched in the minds of the pioneer batch. In January 2009, IIT Bombay admitted 11 PhD students. On February, 27, 2009, the foundation stone of IIT Bombay was laid by Smt. Sonia Gandhi, Hon'ble Chairperson of UPA. For the 2009-10 academic year, IITH will be admitting 120 B.Tech. students, 35 M.Tech. students and 10-15 Ph.D. students.

About the Project:

The National Carbonaceous Aerosol Program (NCAP) of the Indian Network for Climate Change Assessment (INCCA) was launched in March 2011 by the Ministry of Environment Forests and Climate Change.

Position & Salary Project Technical Assistant (1 Post )
Consolidated salary Rs.21000+30% HRA
Qualification Bachelors degree in Environmental, Civil, Chemical, or relevant Engineering disciplines. MSc in Environmental science, Chemistry or equivalent B.Sc. in Environmental science, Chemistry or equivalent degree, with 2 Years Experience. Desirable: Experience in chemical analysis and sample preparation.
Job Profile Preparation of samples for Ion chromatography, OC-EC analysis and Inductively coupled plasma-optical emission spectrometry. Maintaining log and data records. 
Data entry, basic file preparation and data consolidation using MS office. 
Day to day maintenance of instruments.
