Job Description:

The Incumbent shall be responsible for:

1. Provide an independent point of view on ongoing business performance/acquisitions / JVs / divestments/governance and policies, considering the growth aspirations and risk appetite of the company.
2. Work with Executive Director (New Initiatives and Programme Delivery) and CMD to shape the overall vision/aspiration/direction of the company, with the Directors and the respective Strategic Business Unit Chief Operating Officers (COOs) to craft / shape the strategic initiatives of the SBU.
3. Assist the Directors to get the COOs and functional heads (HR, Finance, IT) to drive the implementation of the strategic initiatives, through an agreed implementation mechanism and suggest course correction measures. In the process, get into the details required to ensure success in handson execution.
4. Participate in review of the SBUs and functions by the CMD and Directors and highlight the alignment of the progress visàvis the strategic direction agreed.
5. Track the developments in the industries of relevance and share a synopsis.
6. Lead/be part of specific projects identified for the SBUs, like BPR, feasibility studies, etc.
7. Evaluate the proposals received from the SBUs, on their merit for the strategy of the company.

Preferred Experience:

Candidates with the following will be preferred:

1. Post qualification experience in line roles / consulting / sales and marketing, or roles which have given the individual an understanding of the market / customer / Competition dynamics.
2. Ability to work independently and create a point of view.
3. Ability to defend a point of view and be a catalyst for action required for the benefit of the company, in the presence of senior members of the company.
4. Handson experience in Manufacturing / Service businesses will be an added advantage.

Educational Qualification:

Full time regular Engineering Graduate (excluding part time/ correspondence/ distance learning) (only AICTE/ UGC/ MHRD/ AITA/UFTAA approved Institutes/ Universities). MBA/ Equivalent.

Age Limit:

Maximum age as on the date of notification should be 42 years.
