Job Description:

The Service Transition Engineer (STE) is responsible for the remote configuration of customer devices for Monitoring/Alarming Services and inter operation with the MSP.
The STE will access all devices and configure the necessary SNMP community strings to effect communications over the established VPN.
The STE will perform their activities prior to Service Delivery acceptance.
If the Service Delivery team encounters failures in the device configuration, the STE will perform any necessary remediation during the project.
STE's will work multiple accounts and must work inside an approved change window (either inside or outside of the customer's business day).

Responsibilities:

Perform access testing to the devices via VPN or SAL.
Configure all devices with SNMP community Strings.
Coordinate and work with peers to develop and document community strings/processes for devices or versions that do not have existing models.
Coordinate with the Product Enable team on any new product or version to verify if it can perform SNMP alarming and said alarms are developed in the AMSP by the Product Enablement team.
Perform test alarming from all devices and record successful alarming.

Skills:

2-6 years of previous experience handling Integration and Onboarding experience with IT infrastructure.
Good Understanding of UC/CC product line.
Excellent customer service and communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to multitask and work well in a fast-paced environment.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
Ability to follow instructions and complete projects.
